Getting to Benicassim by Train
Going to the Benicassim Music Festival is a must do thing every summer. It’s all the rage each year as thousands of people flock to this main event. Getting there is not as hard as some may think. Coming from Barcelona you can take the train from the airport. The ride will last just a few hours but it will be a remarkable trip. It’s very important that you book your trip a few weeks in advance or else, when you get to the train station you will find they are all booked up and you might end up paying more money than you expected to.
From Barcelona
Once you arrive in Barcelona, you can take a bus, which runs approximately every half hour, to the Sants Train station and only cost around €3.50 (£2ish). The trains run every 15 minutes or so costing only €1.50 (£1). The train ride will have all the customary necessities you will need, bathroom, and a coach car with a pretty reasonable buffet.
From Valencia
Since 2005, if you happen to fly into Valencia Manises airport you are in luck! The festival has made a decision on your ride from the airport to the festival grounds. You will be provided a very cheap bus service from the airport to the campsite. That’s lucky!
From Madrid
The train ride from Madrid to Benicassim is pretty much the same. Although the prices are a bit different, about approx €17 and the ride itself is only about 40 to 60 minutes. Go to the Sants Train Station to get to the festival. As always, booking in advance will not only be cheapier but will save you the hassel of a headache when you try to get on a train that is booked solid with hundreds of people going to the same event.
